Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Marketing
The Post-Baccalaureate Undergraduate Certificate in Marketing is designed for individuals who desire an extensive, current knowledge of marketing and currently hold a bachelor's degree in another field of study. Graduates of the certificate program will recognize the cross-functional nature of today's business environment, as well as the growing importance of the customer orientation in all organizations, public and private, for-profit, and not-for-profit, domestic and global.
Curriculum
Candidates for the certificate are required to complete a total of 10 courses (30 credit hours) beyond the bachelor's degree. A minimum of 24 hours of study must be taken at Virginia Commonwealth University. Eight specific 3-hour courses in marketing at the 300 and 400-level are required, and the student may select the six additional hours from a list of restricted electives. Prerequisites for all required and elective courses must be met.
