Dual MBA and MS Information Systems Degree
The dual MBA/MS information systems degree program provides students the opportunity to complete both master's level degree programs simultaneously, sharing up to four courses (12 credit hours) between the two programs. While course requirements are listed separately by program in this description, students may work on course requirements simultaneously. Dual degree students will graduate with both degrees as soon as all foundation, required and elective courses for both programs are satisfactorily completed. Students who have previously completed the MBA or Master of Science in information systems degree programs are not eligible to share courses between the degree programs.
Students pursuing the dual degree program will be required to complete all foundation and prerequisite courses for each degree program either via course completion after admission or waiver of the course requirement prior to admission.

Three 600-level information systems courses.
A total of four courses (12 credit hours) taken to satisfy the MBA program requirement will also be used to satisfy MS in information systems program requirements. The four, shared courses will include INFO 661, a core course in the MBA, and three information system classes taken to satisfy MBA electives.

In addition to the core courses, students must select two concentration areas from those listed below, plus two elective courses. Four tracks are defined: Business Engineering Concentration, Knowledge Engineering Concentration, Information Technology Management Concentration, and Information Assurance Concentration. Each track consists of two required courses and two electives. The two elective courses may be taken from one or more of the other concentration areas or from other approved courses in information systems, in consultation with the program advisor and based upon the student's area of interest, career goals, and existing departmental and university areas of expertise.
